Youth MTB Coaches
Love to work with kids? We are hiring coaches for our mentorship-focused mountain bike programs based in Grand Junction, Colorado. The program serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We currently have both lead and assistant coaching positions open for spring and fall programs.
Programs runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 5 pm - 7 pm and Fridays 9 am - noon
SPRING 2025 : March 31st - May 5th
FALL 2025 : August 25th - September 29th
Lead Coach Base Requirements:
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Excellent communication skills
Prior instructional experience
Fundamental bike handling skills
Lesson plan creation and development
Compensation DOE, base rate : $19/hour
Assistant Coach Base Requirements:
Excellent communication skills
Engaging attitude and ability to work well with others
Fundamental bike handling skills
Compensation DOE, base rate : $17/hour
Certified MTB Instructors
Do you love to share your passion and knowledge of mountain biking with others? Do you currently have a BICP or PMBIA instructor certification? We are looking for great additions to our team to coach during special events, skills clinics, and to offer private or small group instruction.
Coach Requirements:
Current BICP or PMBIA Certification
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Lesson plan creation and development
Excellent communication skills
Progression-focused lesson creation and development
Compensation DOE, base rate : $25/hour
Teen Mentors
We are hiring teen mentors for our youth programs and day camps. The youth mentorship program is a great opportunity for high school students to develop leadership skills and share their passion for mountain biking with younger students!
Being a youth mentor requires a willingness to:
Support lead and assistant coaches in delivering mentorship-focused mountain bike instruction
Be aware of social dynamics and support an inclusive environment
Develop skills as a leader
Prioritize safety and professionalism
Be present, energetic, and enthusiastic
Exemplify the characteristics that are encouraged in the students you work with
Communicate openly with coaches, staff, parents, and students
Maintain a growth mindset
Model activities, maneuvers, and behaviors appropriate for the skill level of the students you work with
Compensation $14.81/hour.
