Youth MTB Coaches

Love to work with kids? Us too! We are hiring coaches for our mentorship-focused mountain bike programs based in Grand Junction, Colorado. The program serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We currently have both lead coaching and assistant coaching positions open.

Fall Evening Sessions : 

  • September 9th - October 14th

Lead Coach Base Requirements:

  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Prior instructional experience

  • Fundamental bike handling skills

  • Lesson plan creation and development

  • Compensation DOE, base rate : $20/hour

Assistant Coach Base Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Engaging attitude and ability to work well with others

  • Fundamental bike handling skills

  • Compensation DOE, base rate : $18/hour


Certified Mountain Bike Instructors

Do you love to share your passion and knowledge of mountain biking with others? Do you currently have a BICP or PMBIA instructor certification? We are looking for great additions to our team to coach during special events, skills clinics, and to offer private or small group instruction.

Coach Requirements:

  • Current BICP or PMBIA Certification

  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification

  • Lesson plan creation and development

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Progression-focused lesson creation and development

  • Compensation DOE, base rate : $25/hour


Teen Mentors

We are hiring teen mentors for our youth programs and day camps. The youth mentorship program is a great opportunity for high school students to develop leadership skills and share their passion for mountain biking with younger students involved in the program! 

Being a youth mentor requires a willingness to:

  • Support lead and assistant coaches in delivering mentorship-focused mountain bike instruction

  • Be aware of social dynamics and support an inclusive environment

  • Develop skills as a leader

  • Prioritize safety and professionalism

  • Be present, energetic, and enthusiastic

  • Exemplify the characteristics that are encouraged in the students you work with

  • Communicate openly with coaches, staff, parents, and students

  • Maintain a growth mindset

  • Model activities, maneuvers, and behaviors appropriate for the skill level of the students you work with

  • Compensation $14.42/hour.

Opperations Support

Running multi-faceted mountain bike programs requires extensive behind-the-scenes support. The right candidate is flexible and committed to working collaboratively with leadership to develop program systems. It is possible to combine multiple roles. We are currently looking for dynamic staff members to support the following operations:

  • Administrative Manager : Bookkeeping, payroll, financial reports, HR support, general communications

  • Spring/Fall Youth Program Manager : Rosters, program communications, scheduling, training, staff support

  • Summer Camp Program Manager : Childcare licensing compliance, scheduling, rosters, staff training

  • Communications : Marketing, newsletters, social media, emails

  • Website Maintenance

  • Merchandise Design &/or Sourcing

  • Vehicle Fleet Manager : Maintenance, cleaning, record-keeping, basic repairs

  • Bicycle Fleet Manager : Bike library inventory, maintenance, repairs, acquisition, sales

  • Compensation starts at $18/hour, DOE and scope of role
